Emergent Studies Institute warmly receives those
who feel a strong connection to the Earth,
seek knowledge of planetary sustainability,
and enjoy the freedom and comfort of an online education.
There are several ways to participate in ESI’s dynamic learning experience…
Enrichment Courses
At ESI, enrichment courses are designed to aid in spiritual, personal, and professional development. Faculty and Administration work in cohesive collaboration to produce 3 week, 6 or 7 week, and even 2-part 14 week coursework. Faculty are encouraged to create their own courses from their own unique experiences and skill-sets in a very interactive format with weekly group video chats. These video experiences are a way that faculty members can work with students in a group, and students can work with each other to share with each other in a personal way that can sometimes be missing with online courses. This is a key way we stand out as an institute. The other part of this coursework that makes it shine is the emergent process. All of our courses will be an emergent experience. Meaning, the class will evolve, transform and progress each time differently based on the faculty member teaching, the students attending, or even the time of year that the course is being taught. In that way the same course could be taken multiple times and be different each and every time. We want and encourage our students to use these courses in growth, creativity, spirituality, and social action to empower themselves to go out into the community and share their knowledge. This world changes each time someone learns a little more, and as our Mother organization Haven Int. says, we are all, “One People, One Planet!” We can heal, transform, and rejuvenate the world one person at a time.
